Madison Meds is a family-owned telehealth platform that connects eligible patients with an independent network of US-licensed providers and US-licensed compounding pharmacies. We built this page so anyone considering treatment can see exactly how the process works, who is responsible for what, and how to verify our credentials independently.
LegitScript Certified
Independently verified by LegitScript, the healthcare merchant certification standard used by Google, Meta, and major payment processors.
Verify certificationUS-Licensed Pharmacy
Medications are dispensed by a US-licensed compounding pharmacy operating under state pharmacy board oversight and USP compounding standards.
Licensed Providers
An independent network of US-licensed providers reviews every intake and makes all treatment decisions. Providers are independent, not employed by Madison Meds.
LegitScript Certification
LegitScript certification is the standard recognized by Google Ads, Meta, Visa, Mastercard, and major US payment processors for healthcare merchants. It requires ongoing compliance with applicable laws, transparency about pharmacy and provider relationships, and adherence to strict marketing and operational standards. Certification is not a one-time check. LegitScript continues to monitor certified merchants on an ongoing basis.
Independently verified, continuously monitored
Madison Meds holds an active LegitScript certification. You can verify our certification directly on LegitScript’s website at any time. We did not write the verification page and we cannot change what it says.
How Madison Meds Works
From the first intake to the package on the doorstep, here is who is doing what at each step.
-
You complete an online intake
The intake is submitted on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Madison Meds does not provide medical advice during this step. We collect the information the provider needs in order to evaluate eligibility.
-
An independent licensed provider reviews your case
A US-licensed provider in our independent network reviews the intake. The provider is licensed in your state. They decide what, if anything, may be considered for you. If a treatment is not appropriate, they say so.
-
If approved, the provider issues a prescription
If the licensed provider determines that a treatment is appropriate, they issue a prescription directly to a US-licensed compounding pharmacy.
-
The US-licensed compounding pharmacy prepares your medication
The compounded medication is prepared by a US-licensed compounding pharmacy that operates under state pharmacy board oversight and follows USP compounding standards.
-
The pharmacy ships directly to you
The pharmacy ships the medication in discreet, temperature-appropriate packaging, tracked door to door. You are notified at every stage.
-
Madison Meds supports you throughout
Our team is available by text at 561-919-9722 and by email at ask@madisonmeds.com. We typically respond in under two hours during business hours. Clinical questions are routed to your provider.
What “Compounded” Means
A compounded medication is prepared by a US-licensed compounding pharmacy for a specific patient, based on a prescription from a licensed provider. Compounding lets a pharmacy tailor a medication to a patient’s needs, including custom dosing, alternative formulations, or specific exclusions.
Important distinctions
- Compounded medications are not FDA-approved as a finished drug product. They are prepared in US-licensed compounding pharmacies that operate under state pharmacy board oversight and USP compounding standards.
- Compounded medications are different from brand-name FDA-approved drugs. They are not generics, and they are not substitutes claimed to be equivalent to a branded product.
- Compounded medications are dispensed pursuant to a valid prescription from a licensed provider, for a specific patient. They are not available over the counter.
- Active ingredients are sourced from FDA-registered suppliers, and finished preparations follow USP compounding chapter standards in licensed pharmacies.
For more detail, see our Compounded Medication Disclosure and Medication Risk Disclosure.
Independent Provider Network
Every clinical decision on the Madison Meds platform is made by an independent US-licensed provider. The providers in our network are licensed in the state where the patient is located. They are independent, not employed by Madison Meds.
This separation matters. Madison Meds does not practice medicine, does not write prescriptions, and does not override provider decisions. The provider’s judgment is the clinical judgment. We support the operational and service side: intake, secure communication, pharmacy coordination, customer service, and education.
What this means in practice
- Eligibility is determined by the provider, not by Madison Meds.
- The provider can decline a request or recommend a different course.
- Any prescription is issued directly from the provider to a US-licensed compounding pharmacy.
- Follow-up clinical questions are routed back to the provider through the platform.
US-Licensed Compounding Pharmacy
The medications you receive through Madison Meds are dispensed by a US-licensed compounding pharmacy. The pharmacy is regulated by its state board of pharmacy and operates under USP compounding chapter standards. The pharmacy is responsible for the preparation, quality, and dispensing of the medication.
A few things we want to be transparent about:
- Madison Meds is not the pharmacy.
- The pharmacy fills prescriptions based on what the licensed provider authorizes.
- The pharmacy is independent of Madison Meds.
- The pharmacy is responsible for sourcing active ingredients from FDA-registered suppliers.

Treatment is determined by an independent licensed provider during evaluation, not by Madison Meds. If a provider concludes that a particular treatment may not be appropriate for a patient, that decision rests with the provider. Patients are encouraged to discuss any concerns with their provider and to follow up with their primary care clinician.
How do refunds work?
Our refund policy is available on the Refunds page. Generally, dispensed medications cannot be returned for safety and regulatory reasons, but we work with patients case by case on service-related issues.
